Szilard has extensive experience in designing and delivering award-winning projects across many sectors. He was involved in most of the Bogle Architects’ Science + Education portfolio as well as many residential schemes of our London studio.
Szilard joined Bogle Architects in 2012. During this time he has been the project architect of the Early Learning Village Singapore, a high-quality early years facility for 2000+ children.
Szilard had a major role as a project associate in the design and delivery of the recently completed Royal Grammar School Guildford campus in Dubai, a world-class education facility for 2100 pupils and teaching staff. He was involved in developing Bogle Architects’ design approach to education projects and currently working on various projects in the Middle East.
He was also involved in various residential schemes in Vauxhall, Watford and the Old Kent Road area in London, as well as the Snegiri ECO residential development in Moscow.
Before joining Bogle Architects, Szilard was working with Ian Bogle at BFLS (formerly Hamiltons). Joining in 2007, he worked on a wide range of projects including a high-quality residential development in Chiswick, a 170-bed student housing in the City of London and a 234 key hotel in Waterloo, London. Szilard was also involved in a number of successful international design competitions such as the award-winning ELI Laser facility in Prague, the Glyndwr Student Residences in Wales and an Intercontinental Hotel in Yerevan.
Szilard graduated with a BSc in Architecture in Budapest in 2004 and was awarded an MSc in Architecture at the Science University of Pecs, Hungary.
Before moving to London he mainly worked on sustainable residential developments for Cook Associates in Faversham, Kent and Banati+Hartvig in Budapest, where he was involved in the refurbishment and remodelling of the Castle Bazaar buildings in the Castle of Buda, listed as UNESCO World Heritage.
Szilard was made a Design Director in 2022.
