After 12 years of collaboration we say goodbye to our friend Yui Fan Law
‘’It’s with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to Yui today as we have had many adventures over the years and many fun moments along the journey. Yui is establishing his own design practice and we wish him much success in his new adventures. I’m sure we’ll be collaborating again at some point in the future.‘’

Ian Bogle has been invited to give a talk at this year's Value of Design symposium to take place in Delft on the 10th of May. Ian's talk will concentrate on the collaboration between Architects and Engineers in real life projects.
About the Value of Design symposium:
'For many decades, architects and engineers have been designing buildings for different environments and situations. At first sight it would seem like an engineering task to design buildings in such a way that they resist these extreme forces. However, to reach the best possible results in terms of safety, aesthetics and economy, an integral collaboration between architects, structural engineers and building engineers is necessary. By taking all the different aspects of a project into account from an early stage, and in an integral and multidisciplinary approach, long-lasting and visually appealing structures can be achieved.
The symposium ‘Value of Design’ highlights both the architectural part and the engineering part of several projects which have to deal with extreme forces, focusing in the collaboration between the two disciplines.' http://valueofdesign.nl

In the final stages of the competition for the new School of Architecture at Aarhus University, out of 230 entries from 41 countries, Bogle Architects reached the top 6!
The jury said of the proposal:
‘’ The jury would like to praise the idea of one large central arrival hall, the design of which is one of the most interesting of the competition. The first thing to greet a visitor is the school’s activities in the workshop and mock-up facilities, and the visual contact and transparency between the functions of the building are given pride of place. ‘’

After nearly 4 years together, and there from the very beginning of Bogle Architects, we say ‘ auf wiedersehen ’ to our colleague and friend, Holm Bethge.
Ian Bogle said,
"We’ve worked together for nearly 12 years and it’s with sadness that our collaborations have ended. I have many fond memories of our time and adventures together, and on behalf of all at Bogle Architects we wish you a great new life in Germany with your family. Who knows, we may even compete against each other at some point in the future …which would be an interesting situation! Take care, and keep well."
